The interest

To begin with, it is important to understand that having to stay at home does not mean that you should not continue working. Think about it: if you stop everything, now your return to class will be difficult.

Now, I understand that it can be difficult to do all the tasks, but the important thing is to do as much as possible. We have to find the right balance in these difficult times!

If when you leave, you tell yourself that you will not do the job, you are not on the right track! You have to say that you go to work a little everyday. My first piece of advice, in these difficult times, would be to find an activity that you can do after your daily work session! Reward yourself!

Positive thinking

Like I said before, you don’t have to start by saying to yourself that you will do nothing! Bad idea ! You must think that you will do as much as possible and that you will take a week at a time and that you will move forward quietly! I am confident you can do it!

Time and distractions

I often talk about it over time, but it is so important and it should be used wisely! When we talk about time, especially in teleworking, we have to adopt a certain discipline!

First, you have to make a schedule! It’s imperative !

Here is an example of an efficient schedule:

Between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm | school work

Between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm | HAVING DINNER

Between 13:00 pm and 15:00 | Family time and exercise

Second, be aware and respect your list of goals. During your 3-4 hours of daily work, lock yourself in your room, so as not to be disturbed, and work. Let your parents have your cell phone, tablet or other distracting item. That way you can work without being distracted. Do it in a quiet environment, with music if you prefer, but not with Netflix turned on in the background!

Third, I strongly suggest that you create a list of goals every day. I insist on the word objective! You will see, if you make a plan for a week and do not stick to it, you will think you are inundated with work. If you make a list of goals every day, you’ll be less disappointed if you don’t accomplish them all. Believe me !

Finally, try to take a few breaks during your working time. I tell you, in 3-4 hours of serious work, you will be able to move forward fairly quickly. So much so that the Lucky Lukes of this world, those who work quickly, may have time to complete all the tasks scheduled for their work week!

It is important ! Do your weekly chores! Returning to school will be much less difficult once containment is complete. You can also recover faster.

Well, to manage your tasks effectively, you must understand one thing: not everything is important! What you understand, do it last! Start with what you have the most difficulty with! You are less tired at the start of the day than at the end of the day.

If you want to do it all, you can! Here’s how you could do it:

Tasks sent by teachers:

French: read the book and answer the questions

History: make pages 1 to 250 in the notebook

Math: listen to capsules

And so on…

Subject Difficulty level I do it…
French I have no difficulties! I don’t like answering questions though! Wednesday, since I have no difficulties, although I don’t like answering questions so much!
Historia Ah! I have misery! It’s the first thing I do on Monday morning!
Maths It’s going great in math! I will do it on Thursday, since I have no difficulties, it will be easy!

Okay, you understand the principle! The goal is to identify the subjects where you have the most difficulties as well as the ones you like the least! You do them in the order you want, but I strongly advise you to start with the ones where you have difficulty, the ones you like the least and finish with your favorite subjects, which are by default, the ones you succeed in. better.

The organization of the work office

One thing is certain, working in the kitchen of your home is not ideal. If you already work there usually and your technique works, we continue! Otherwise, you can make a small corner in your bedroom dedicated to the accomplishment of your tasks!

It is however imperative to keep it clean, tidy. Same thing for your school equipment, by the way ? One thing is certain, it will most likely be in disorder when you finish your daily work sessions! You have to put it away every day!

Now who says clean office says efficient person! You can make a work diary every Monday and trust it. It’s a good idea, but you still have to be able to be effective. In this sense, as I already mentioned a little above, you must have as few distractions as possible around you! You have to be able to concentrate! It’s 3-4 hours a day without any distractions. Then you will see that you will survive ? Your friends too ?

Working time vs family time

I realize that many of us have to balance school and family. In this sense, I tell you, it will be much easier to work if your parents or loved ones do it at the same time as you. Think about it: you work at the same time, you will be less distracted! If you work with your family, you can also enjoy the afternoon with your loved ones. It’s a great time to enjoy your family, you are mostly confined together! Take advantage! It’s important to do your job as much as spending time with family.

5 years ago, I couldn’t see myself writing a post due to a pandemic! I also couldn’t see myself running a site on school organization. I was still too young, but I still aspired to be a teacher.

5 years ago, my routine was not the same, I didn’t work the same way, but when it came to organization I was always good enough. For example, I did my homework over the weekend to enjoy weeknights. I never procrastinated, that is to say put off until later what could be done now! You have free time ? Come on! It should also be noted that as we get older we change, we learn new things and the challenges are not quite the same.

5 years ago, I would have given myself advice to better manage my study technique, which was not optimal!

You, 5 years ago, what advice would you have given yourself? Tell us in the comments!!
